Welcome to the Shawsheen Valley School of Practical Nursing

Over 20 years of experience in the education of Practical Nurses.

 

The Shawsheen Valley School of Practical Nursing is designed to provide eligibility for the graduate to take the NCLEX-PN (National Council Licensure Examination for Practical Nurses) examination upon graduation.
 

The program is offered in a weekend (7-8 AM-3-4 PM) and evening (5-11 PM) format following the high school’s forty (40) week calendar. The program starts the last Monday of August and concludes the end of June.
 

This course provides the theoretical framework, skills laboratory and clinical practices that enable the graduate nurse to work within the scope of the practical nurse in Massachusetts.
 

The first step in the application process is to take the National League for Nursing- PN pre-entrance examination. Please see the additional links for test dates and other information.  This program is Rolling Admissions.

The Shawsheen Valley School of Practical Nursing is Fully Approved by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing and is Accredited by the Commission of the Council on Occupational Education.
